Our Policy: The DCO welcomes all new players of grade seven standard and above. We are keen to attract new violinists and other string players. If you are interested in joining the orchestra, or are a prospective soloist or composer, please contact the orchestra secretary by completing the Join Us form here.
Auditions: There is no formal audition process for prospective players, but we would love you to come to a few rehearsals as a trial. We may ask you to join on the day, or we might request that you join our waiting list.
Concerts: There are usually three concerts per year.
Membership Subscriptions: There is a fee for all members of the DCO. The fee is currently set at £105.00 per year (or £38 per concert). We do offer a reduced fee for those currently in full time education.
Where we Meet and When: The orchestra rehearses in Dorking from 7:30 to 9:45 on the five Tuesday evenings before each concert.
